The Vanderbilt Television News Archive (TVNA) is the most comprehensive historical collection of U.S. television news. Dating back to August 1968, the archive includes nearly 1 million segments of evening news from the three major broadcast networks, CNN and Fox News. TVNA also recently added MSNBC, Newsmax and the local Nashville affiliates to the collection.
Researchers from sponsor institutions can access segment videos and descriptions via the website. In addition, the McGee Center offers advanced data services for researchers interested in conducting computational analysis on the broadcast text transcripts.
